News From Holme ManorWell not really sure where to start with everything that we have been involved in time has flown and we have had some real fun and made great memories.
We have been involved in the Memory Box Project run by Everyday People Anthony and Jackie along with volunteer Janet, We had 8 weeks of Monday afternoons music sessions and all day Wednesday craft and reminiscing sessions. So much fun and so much time bringing everyone together to rally enjoy the music and dancing plus lots of memories now in our special and individually memory boxes. A huge thank you for everyone involved and lets hope we can do this again very soon.
Our trip on the train Bury - Rawtenstall with afternoon tea was a real treat and delight for everyone. The day was so magical with lots of talk and memories of being on a train when we were younger, going on holidays etc. A great effort from Brian Topping to pull it all together with lots of other people also and Dementia Awareness Week was a huge success.
Lots of art and craft sessions have taken place as well as baking. Residents have also been enjoying our film afternoons with treats. So far we have watched South Pacific, Mamma Mia and Cliff Richards Summer Holiday. Any request please see Paula.
Reflexology, nails and the hair dresser were fantastic last week a real few days of chilling and really enjoying being pampered. Lisa from Unique inspirations does a fabulous job with reflexology she can be contact on 07891 291369.
Our Flower Arranging sessions are wonderful and make the home smell and look wonderful. Thank you to Sue who is making this possible. Watch out for our flowers in June and July.
Lots of things coming in June and July.
We have our Tiara and Crown Queen's birthday bash on the 14th June 2.45 - 4.45 and our BBQ and entertainment on the 28th July 2 - 5 pm.
If you have any spare wool, fabric, buttons, lace, ribbons, cd or dvds please leave for Paula.
