Holme Manor News

Well the weather has been terrible during the month of June and we are hoping for some sunshine in July so that we can sit outside and enjoy the new garden furniture given to us by Betty in memory of Anthony.

We have celebrated the Jubilee with our residents and the lovely display that we had in the conservatory. We now have the football display and the gentlemen of the Manor are following the action as it unfolds. Unfortunately England are out but there are still games ahead to watch. One resident went to the Whitchaff to watch on Sunday and had a great time.

Peter the accordion man is with us this month on the 10th July usual time 1.30 pm - 2.45 pm. Songs and music in the Pavillion lounge.

We are going to celebrate the Olympic Games with a display and also our own games on Monday 23rd July 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm. Please come and join in the fun. Refreshments will be available.

On the 7th August we will be hosting a harpist 10.30 am - 11.30 am. Please feel free to join us at this special music event.

We have great news as well about our chickens. We have chicks!! They are lovely and are doing great. You will also notice in the garden a new hen house with four more chickens for the residents to look after now. Eggs are sparse but hopefully that may change with the addition of our new chickens.

I will be joining St James the Less Year 5 children to the MOSI in Manchester next Tuesday on their school trip and I hope to bring back lots of information for our residents.

Some of the staff went out for a thank you meal last week with Ryan and Ann and they had a great time at the Duke of Wellington. The next meal for the remainder of the staff is this Tuesday and we are all looking forward to it.

Thats all for now and thank you for all your support.
