The Manor

The Manor has seen a number of changes over the last few weeks and its look very nice and we hope you think so too.

We have named all the corridors using the main streets in Rawtenstall. Bank Street, Kay Street and Bocholt Way.

Also our lounge and dining room have been named as Kettles On, The Astoria Lounge, The Pavilion Room and The Manor Lounge.

We hope that these will hold some lovely memories for our residents and will also help in our reminiscing work.

We now have a large display board which is currently filled with information about holidays. This is the topic for this month and we will also have a Reminiscing Box in place which will also hold memories of holidays. Every month the topic will change and we value your input if you wish for a certain topic to be covered please email me or speak to Suzanne or myself and we will gladly add this to our topic list. The children from St James the Less Primary School have also helped with this topic and will be visiting us on Tuesday 8th May when we also have the Mayor of Rossendale coming to visit. The afternoon will start at 1.30 pm - 2.45 pm where we will enjoy music, bingo, ice cream and also an old fashioned toffee shop. Please come along to this great event.

Next week you will also see our new information boards in place which will hold information for your residents to see along with relatives, staff and visitors. We will ensure that this information is kept up to date and that you are informed of future events etc. Information will include daily menus, day, date and weather, birthdays, hairdressing dates, visitors, events organised etc. One board will also hold the staff photographs and our titles so that you are aware of who is who in the rogues gallery.

The name plates of all our residents doors are also being changed to be more personalised and this will be taking place over the next month. Your input would be valuable as we wish to use pictures, favourite colours, hobbies, interests etc to ensure that the door plates are exactly what your family member would like.

So lots happening and we hope you will come and see for yourself.
